Share World Day against child labor, Let's break the chains of child slavery

Today, as every June 12, the World Day Against Child Labor is celebrated and since Babies and more we join the denunciation of the situation suffered by many children. You can not close your eyes to the exploitation that many children have to live, only in our country, 5, 000 children are forced into prostitution, while every year we see the figures of child pornography grow. We are in a developed society, but it does not look like it, let's look at the figures worldwide.

The organization Save the Children has presented the report "Let's break the chains of child slavery", where they reflect that 218 million children around the world between the ages of 5 and 17 work, of which 126 million do very dangerous jobs and 8.5 million in infrahuman conditions. The most frequent jobs for children are child trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, forced labor due to family indebtedness, mining, agriculture, forced marriage and domestic slavery.

According to a study done in 2000 by UNICEF, it is considered work when children work for three hours or more a day and five days a week.

The work and interest of many organizations is to put an end to these figures, to keep minors away from the dangers and from the work to which they are subjected. It is not possible to say that it is what we all hope and that together we can achieve it, yes, we can also help.
