Share Play the kitchens

Mireia Long

I remember with special love playing kitchens as a child. I had my store, my kitchen, a table where we sat the dolls, a lot of gadgets and toy food that gave me many fun afternoons.

Playing kitchenettes, in spite of the sexist advertising that only girls in pink kitchens propose, is a symbolic form of play that attracts, if not pressed against, both genders and that will allow them to exercise their imagination and introduce themselves in the fascinating world of pleasures and culinary science.

We can also participate in the game with our children. Sitting at the table, pretending to be a diner in a restaurant, and letting them interpret the different roles, invent a letter and prepare, with toys or even with drawings, delicious dishes. By playing, we can even play on the beach that the food is a little pile of sand on the back of the bucket.

But for the most exquisite, we can buy them a kitchen, where the experiences will be more real, as in the one that illustrates the article that comes from the page latiendadelafamilia. Some people are even encouraged to build the kitchenette with their own hands and I have seen some wonderful.

But it is also now many toys, cloth, plastic and wood, more or less realistic, representing all kinds of food and that will serve us, in addition to fun, to learn about nutrition, hygiene, health and techniques of kitchen.

It has also helped us to promote, in addition, my son's passion for cooking, which has among his possible professions, that of being a cook. We have even been at Cordón Bleu Cooking School, interested in their courses and, according to what they told us, was the youngest of the future students who had visited the school.

Encourage and propose this game of kitchenettes to your children. You will have a great time, sure.
